Now, I'm not sure how much RPing you've done, so I'll explain it as if you've never heard of it ^.^ Nothing personal :) First off, the RPing that we do is basically in story form, wherein you control your character in an environment which I, as the GameMaster (GM) control :) So, you have to be careful and not write in what others do in your post. Example: In this scenario, we have Mary, a fire sorceress, against a dragon (controlled by the GM) Correct: Mary waved her hands, and a fireball appeared out of nowhere and flew towards the evil dragon. Incorrect: Mary waved her hands, and a fireball appeared out of nowhere and flew towards the evil dragon. The fireball exploded and killed the dragon easily. See, you can only control your character :) Everything else if left to me as GM, or other players. Now, that's basically how the RPG works. The other way is Story-form, in which you write a post in story-format, and you can control what happens and what other characters do. i'm thinking about switching back and forth. As of 3/9/99, we're in the middle of a GMed RPG. To join in, you'll need a character ^.^ There are several steps to go through to develop one: 1) STEP one: Freebie development- There are different attributes to your character, some of which cost Points, and some of which are free. You will get 300 points to spend on a character. Your points will be spent on abilities (such as Psyche, Strength, etc). The more points you have in one area, the stronger you are in that area. The free attributes include: -Character Name -Character Species -Character Description -Character History To begin creating a character, consider the above options :) When you're satisfied with it, move on to Step 2. 2) STEP two: Abilities There are four major abilities which you MUST spend points on: Psyche: Your character's psychic ability. This includes will power, mental abilities, etc. If you have high psyche and some psychic powers (explained later), you can have a wide range of abilities in the mental area. Endurance: Endurance is the base of all abilities: You need a lot of it if you're planning to center on any one ability. If you're in a match of swords, and your sword point count is near your opponent's and you have more endurance, you've got the upper hand. Magic: This is closely related to Psyche. Magic gauges magic power. The stronger your Magic is, the stronger and more effective your spells will be (spells included in powers) Strength: This is pure physical strength. If you get into a grapple and have better points in strength, you're sure to win. Warfare: Warfare includes skill with ALL weapons. This includes anything that can be used as a weapon. It also includes strategy, aiming, and everything that involves using a weapon. Speed: Basic speed. Doesn't need much explanation, but comes in handy if you're pretty equally matched in other abilities with an opponent. STUFF: Good STUFF: If you have extra points leftover after spending them on powers and stats, you can use them for good stuff. For example, Trixxy has 10 points good stuff. Thats a LOT. Trixxy is very lucky, and most people like her and find her enjoyable to be around. She is more likely to make friends then Blu. Good Stuff is measured in whole integers. Bad STUFF: If you spend to many points, all the points you are in debt for go to Bad Stuff. Bad Stuff is the opposite of Good Stuff. For example, Lance has -1 point bad stuff. He has fleeting moments of bad luck. Also, he can see gruff, grouchy and mean to others. Bad Stuff is measured in negetive numbers. 3) STEP three: Powers: There are several extra things you can spend points on. These aren't nessicary, but they can compliment your character's abilities. FLIGHT:
Mind Reading: 15 (not controlled)
